Ad Terra appoints Christophe Gerard as Director for Europe, Africa and Central Asia

Ad Terra is delighted to welcome Christophe Gerard as our new Director for Europe, Africa and Central Asia. This appointment underscores our commitment to continue expanding Ad Terra’s presence worldwide after the recent appointments of two other directors for North America and Asia Pacific.

Christophe’s 25 years of international experience spanning consulting and operator roles as well as his deep regional expertise will be instrumental in developing Ad Terra’s operations across the 3 continents both as a consultancy firm and an assets operator.

Christophe brings valuable expertise in geoscience, reservoir engineering, technical leadership, having specialised in mature fields re-development and optimisation, as well as Energy Transition initiatives such as geothermal and hydrogen.

Christophe began his career as a reservoir engineer at BeicipFranlab (IFP Consultancy), participating in field integrated studies in Libya, Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia and Venezuela. He then advanced to mixed managerial-technical positions across the CIS, Africa and Latin America with international oil and gas companies, and later to the executive role of Chief Operating Officer for an investment firm overseeing a global exploration and production portfolio. His career has been defined by successfully delivering audacious new ventures, complex technical projects while building strong relationships with industry and institutional players.

Most recently, he served as Director of International Geothermal Business for UK headquartered Star Energy Group plc,, developing and supervising the company’s geothermal portfolio in Croatia.

Christophe graduated from Ecole des Mines de Nancy (Ingénieur Civil des Mines) and holds an MSc in Petroleum Engineering and Reservoir Development from the IFP School.

We are confident that Christophe’s leadership, technical expertise, and established industry network will drive Ad Terra’s growth and strengthen our presence across Europe, Africa and Central Asia markets.
